Diet related disorders

Diet-related disorders encompass a spectrum of conditions stemming from imbalanced or inadequate nutritional intake. Among the prevalent disorders is obesity, a complex ailment influenced by genetic, environmental, and behavioral factors, characterized by excessive Body Fat accumulation. Conversely, malnutrition manifests in various forms such as undernutrition, encompassing deficiencies in macronutrients or micronutrients, leading to stunted growth, weakened immunity, and impaired organ function. Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are eating disorders that affect mental and physical health profoundly. Anorexia involves severe calorie restriction, leading to dangerously low Body weight, while bulimia is typified by cycles of binge eating followed by purging behaviors. Additionally, Binge Eating Disorder involves recurrent episodes of uncontrollable eating, often leading to obesity and psychological distress. Dietary intolerances, including lactose intolerance or gluten sensitivity, provoke adverse reactions upon consuming specific foods. Furthermore, conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and hypertension are influenced significantly by dietary habits, highlighting the pivotal role of nutrition in overall health. The intricate interplay between diet and these disorders underscores the importance of balanced, mindful eating habits for sustaining optimal well-being.
