Abstract:
Obesity interventions often fail because they focus on short-term dieting instead of long-term behavioral change. This session presents a practical framework for sustainable weight management based on mindset transformation, nutrition literacy, and habit design. Drawing on the speaker’s personal 135-pound weight-loss journey at age 61 and over a decade of maintenance, participants will learn a structured model called the Think and Grow Thin Blueprint. The model integrates behavioral psychology, plant-forward nutrition principles, goal-setting science, and corporate wellness best practices. Attendees will learn how to eliminate late-night eating patterns, build daily accountability systems, improve food literacy, and create environments that support healthy choices. Case studies from coaching clients and corporate workshops will illustrate measurable results. This session provides actionable tools for clinicians, researchers, HR leaders, and wellness professionals seeking practical strategies to address obesity in real-world settings.
