Sytera Fields, Speaker at Weight Management Conferences
Sytera Yoga, United States

Abstract:

Fascia is the body's most overlooked driver of health, yet most people don't even know it exists. When fascia is healthy, movement flows freely; when it becomes stiff, dehydrated, or restricted, pain sets in, posture collapses, and the nervous system stays locked in a state of high alert. This session introduces the Nadi Method, a fascia-focused practice developed by biomechanics expert and Harvard-certified innovator Sytera Field that blends yoga with the targeted use of massage balls. Dr. Hirad NajafBagy, team chiropractor for the NFL's Washington Commanders, has described it as "foam rolling on steroids" — one that actually feels good. Drawing on 25 years of experience working with high-performing executives and athletes on fascia fitness, Sytera Field explores how fascia health connects directly to mobility, pain management, and healthy aging. She shares the science behind fascia, why it is so often left out of conversations about longevity, and practical techniques attendees can use immediately to relieve tension and restore fluid movement. The session also addresses how these same principles translate into workplace settings. A typical fascia fitness session runs 30 to 60 minutes and can be delivered virtually or in person, targeting the tension, stiffness, and sluggishness that build up from long hours at a desk. Attendees can expect to leave feeling a noticeable shift in how their body moves — the kind of change that gets people talking well after the session ends. Sytera Field is also the author of the upcoming book Power Over Pain, which translates the science of fascia into a method people can put into practice. This presentation offers attendees a fresh, body-based lens on healthy aging and longevity, one grounded in restoring the fascia system that most conversations about movement and pain overlook entirely.
