Biography:
Johnna Beard has served as Executive Director of Nutrition Services for Montgomery Public Schools since 2017, where she oversees daily meal service for more than 25,500 students across 47 school sites. Prior to this role, she was the Child Nutrition Director in Greeneville, Tennessee, for two years. A certified School Nutrition Specialist (SNS), Johnna brings a strong academic and practical foundation in Biology, Nutrition, and Dietetics to her work. Her expertise includes financial management, administrative review preparation, professional development, and program improvement. Since 2017, she has also served as a ServSafe Instructor and Proctor, training future food service professionals in food safety and sanitation best practices. Johnna holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Capella University and earned dual degrees in Biology and Nutrition & Dietetics from Samford University. Her leadership and innovation in school nutrition have earned her national and state-level recognition.
