Abstract:

Genetics is the study of genes and heredity. Genetics factor are inheritance transferable from parents to the offering, protein sequence, DNA component and genetic materials Heredity is also the passing of genetic information and traits such as eye colour, behaviour, height, weight, and shape of body, blood genotype and an increased chance of getting a certain disease from parents to the offspring. The study was  conducted on the genetic influence associated with the experimental animals that fed on plants and animals based complimentary dietary, hence the following parameter was taken into consideration such as growth response, weight gained of the body, internal organ performance, nitrogen retention and protein  stored in the tissue. The result revealed that  growth response  of the experimental animal was progressive, Animal weights was also noted, the weight of internal organ  was on the  increased,  the muscle retained nitrogen and protein  was stored in the liver, tissue and kidney. In conclusion Genetics has influenced as growth response of the body weight, and increases in weight of internal, organ, nitrogen retention and protein storing. The Animals fed on protein of diets 1-3 promote growths two times better than the Animals that fed on plant protein diets 4-5. Genetics influence on food may result in obesity, stroke cardiovascular disease which genetically could be transferred from their parents to the offerings if measures such as inclusion plant protein dietary animal into animal  protein diet to reduce the protein changing of life style, also practicing or imbibe on regular exercise as recommended by WHO However Plant protein as indicated in diet 4-5 genetically influence could result in thinning, underweight, masmarus, kwashiorkor  animal protein not included.

Samson Ishola Ibironke is a seasoned and distinguished Nutritionist; at Department of Food Science and Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He attended Technologist Training School, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and Proceeded to University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, England and Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Nigeria for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies respectively.  He has contributed to the training of many graduates and undergraduates in the area of Public Health, Food Science, Nutritional Health and Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. He is currently a Chief Technologist at Department of Food Science and Technology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.He delivered lecture on bomb calorimeter to the Obafemi Awolowo university on 8-5- 2024.
