Biography:
Joshua De Leon, M.D., is a Board-Certified cardiologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. After completing a fellowship in clinical and molecular cardiology, he went on to clinical work treating patients with cardiovascular disease, focusing on acute coronary syndromes (ACS). His research efforts are directed toward understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying ACS as well as the more chronic processes underlying atherogenesis. His research has included extensive collaboration with Dr. Allison Reiss. Their work has been highly productive, leading to multiple publications. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Investigative Medicine.
